This app is an automatic file sync and backup tool for both Android.
In the cloud
If you have an account with MEGA, you can synchronize your files across various devices, including phones and tablets, and across your Android platform (Android 4.4 KitKat and above). All files are stored in the cloud, allowing you to store them in a safe place that is off-site from your device. You can choose to store photos, videos, and other files (e.g., documents) in the cloud. This means that your files are stored on MEGA servers and available on your device, wherever you may be. You don't need to connect your device to a Wi-Fi network to sync files.
On your device
File synchronization across MEGA and other devices is possible using Bluetooth or Wi-Fi. If you use Wi-Fi, then all your device's network traffic goes through our servers in order to make file transfer between MEGA devices possible. We do not see the actual files. Therefore, files and folders can be shared between MEGA devices, even if the device that is sharing files is not connected to the Internet.
